Veterinary Surgery: Common Questions
What types of surgery do you perform?
We perform a range of soft tissue and general surgical procedures for dogs and cats. Every surgical plan is tailored to your pet, including individualized anesthesia and pain management, to support comfort and safety before, during, and after surgery.

When should my pet be spayed or neutered?
In general, we recommend spaying or castrating most dogs and cats at 6 months of age. For more details click here.

Why are spay and neuter prices so different between clinics?
When comparing the total cost of spaying and neutering many clinics, like ours, include bloodwork, Intravenous fluids, Pre and Post surgical medications and Bitter Spray. So if you find animal hospital with a different price be sure to ask what is included in the procedure. We include all the above in order to ensure the best possible surgical outcomes for your pet.

Is veterinary surgery safe?
Yes. Your pet’s safety is our top priority. We use thorough pre-surgical screening, pre and post surgical medications, advanced monitoring during anesthesia, and attentive post-operative care to help ensure the safest possible outcome for your pet.

Post-operative care and Recovery
When your pet is ready to go home, we will review your postoperative care and medication instructions. If any questions arise after your pet returns home or at any other time during the postoperative period, call us. We welcome your questions and will do all we can to help your pet recover fully. Help is only a phone call away.

Our Dog Loves Going...
"We have been taking our golden doodle here for the last 13 years since he was a puppy. Every interaction we have had with the vets and all support staff has been positive. All team members seem to truly love the animals. Our dog loves going and has never feared a trip to the vet. ""
